God's Little Angels Daycare-Preschool Pittsburg, CA 925 458-3440

This is an Accredited Family Childcare. My name is Bonnie Duncan. I am a licensed childcare provider through the State of California. I am licensed for 14 children. Currently, I have 13 children in my care. I have been in business since 2001. I am presently attending Los Medanos College working toward a degree in Child Development. I attend many child care classes throughout the year so I can stay educated on our children's Health, and Total Development. We practice a Thematic/Project Approach Curriculum" to teach the children. This approach is a high quality, revolutionary approach to early childhood education. This approach focuses heavily on reflective practice--both on the part of the children and their teachers in the content of in-depth, long-term projects. This approach also focuses on a collaboration between families, students and teachers. It's philosophy is distinguished through its advocacy of the image of children as being intelligent, capable and powerful. The principles include respectful and authentic communication, children influencing curriculum decisions, the importance of the environment, and artistic activity as intrinsic to the whole cognitive symbolic expression of children's thinking and learning. I love children very much, and they love me. I am a woman of God. With His love and guidance, I give the children a fun, educational experience, good structure and of coarse lots of love.

I also have a wonderful family of my own. My husband Carlton and I have been married for 15 years. We have three wonderful children. Khiry 21 yrs., Nikala 14yrs., and Carlton Jr. 7yrs. old.

I have 2 assistants, Donna Manuel, and Emigene Duncan. We give the children in my care opportunities to learn in a family-like setting with mixed age groups, where they can feel safe and loved, and can begin to build a positive self image. Your child will receive quality, personal and individualized care in a warm, loving, and christian home environment.

Your Infant/Toddler, will receive "Top Quality Care". I will nurture them, with a Mommy's love, the kind of love that you would want your baby to receive, in your absences. I will send home a daily log on your child's eating, sleeping, and daily health. Your Baby/Toddler will have the opportunity to gain practice in language, fine motor, large motor, small motor & self help skills. I also assist in potty training your toddlers. I will send home daily Potty Logs for the toddlers who are potty training. Potty Logs, gives a description of your toddlers day using the potty. It also helps me to determine if your toddler is ready for potty training.

Your preschooler, will have the opportunity to gain practice in language, Math, Science,Social Skills, Arts & Crafts, and creative thinking. I currently use the thematic/project approach to teach the kids. This approach creates opportunity for learning activities, art and craft projects, music, activities poems, stories, games, health and safety lessons, science, finger plays, and P. E. skills. My goal is to prepare the preschoolers for Kindergarten.

Your after-schooler , will have the opportunity to complete their homework. Homework help is available. Computer study is also available. I have many age appropriate educational programs that help strengthen Math, English, and Reading skills. Your child will also have the opportunity to participate in our Wednesday exercise class, and our Thursday yummy treat make-it-yourself class, and our gymnastics class.

Your questions and comments are important so we can achieve the very best experiences for your child. No child will be denied enrollment on the basis of sex, race, religion or disability.

**Fitness and Fun - On Wednesday California Gymnastics comes to our preschool to conduct our gymnastic class. These classes are taught by the lovely Ms. Ariana. California Gymnastics offer a comprised of a variety of activities that are customized to your child's age and skill level.
